Clinical Program Manager

 

Job description

This position will lead TYC’s growing clinical team and work closely with the Executive Director to shape the agency’s clinical programming for youth in Greater Nashua. This role includes staff management, establishing and overseeing clinical practice protocols, quality assurance of clinical services, and providing some direct client service. The ideal Clinical Program Manager takes a collaborative approach within all agency program areas and with our community partners.

Salary and Benefits

Overall Responsibilities

Program Development and Reporting (35%)

Oversee the clinical operations of TYC in alignment with the agency mission and strategic plan, including establishing clinical goals and adjustments as needed to meet community needs

Collaborate within all TYC programs to assure a strong integrated system of care for clients

Coordinate with community partners on clinical initiatives and represent TYC in program partnership and coordination meetings

Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with contractual deliverables and complete clinical program reporting for grant and contract funding

Direct Client Service (35%) 

Co-facilitate clinical support groups and clinical/substance use prevention groups

Consult with the Court Diversion Director on clinical aspects of diversion program and support monthly panels by conducting intakes

Maintain a caseload of clients/groups and provide social-emotional trainings for community partners

Clinical Staff Management and Support (25%)

Lead and manage clinical staff through recruitment, retention, mentoring and coaching, ensuring staff engagement to meet agency and program goals and objectives

Ensure staff meet ethical standards and ensure their timely performance evaluation

Review and approve assessments and treatment plans, and provide guidance in discharge planning to counselors

Organizational Operations (5%)

These are organization-wide responsibilities. All staff hold the following responsibilities:

Engage in deep professional development

Participate in staff meetings, attend community events, and otherwise contribute to strengthening the deep roots within our community, both internally and externally

What we are looking for

Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling

Licensed New Hampshire Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Mental Health Counselor required; Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor a plus

At least five years experience in youth mental health counseling or clinical social work

At least three years experience managing staff

Experience with substance use prevention and education programming

Experience working with underserved populations

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with willingness to take initiative in addressing concerns and issues

Proficient with computer-based applications such as MS Office and electronic health records

Commitment to our mission and values of empowering youth and their families and ensuring access to care for underserved populations

Work Environment

This is a full-time, exempt position. We work 37.5 hours a week, which includes some evenings until 7 p.m. for direct client services. We believe in work-life balance and are committed to keeping the workload in alignment with the true hours worked. Due to the nature of our work, this role is primarily in-office, however there is flexibility to work limited hours from home. We currently offer free, weekly COVID testing to staff. On rare occasions, we work weekends–usually for fundraising or attending partner organization’s events. 

Salary Structure

The final salary offer will be dependent on experience and levels of responsibilities within TYC.
