Youth Mental Health

July 13 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT

Loss and Change Support Group

This free, 4-week summer support group is geared toward high school students (including incoming freshmen), and open to youth from all communities in Greater Nashua. The group will be capped at 10 participants.

Group meets weekly on July 13, July 20, Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 at The Youth Council’s office: 74 Northeastern Blvd., Unit 10A, Nashua. In this group, students will learn:

  • How grief, loss, and change impacts you
  • Coping skills and strategies to navigate loss and change
  • The stages of grief

This group will also provide a safe space to gather with others as a support system. This group is led by Student Assistance Program Counselors Samantha Campbell, MA, and Brittney Decelle.

This free, 4-week summer support group is geared toward middle school students, and open to youth from all communities in Greater Nashua. The group will be capped at 10 participants.

Group meets weekly on July 13, July 20, Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 at The Youth Council’s office: 74 Northeastern Blvd., Unit 10A, Nashua. In this group, students will learn:

  • Conversational, friendship, and problem-solving skills
  • How to understand peers’ perspectives
  • Controlling emotions
  • Social cues (body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions)
